3g of hash

hi. I scored a three gram nugget of medicinal sativa hash recently, and need some advice about how to use it. The only hash I've ever consumed was in the late 70's. We smoked it in a hookah to celebrate the safe return to the US of the last helicopter load of American's evacuated from the US embassy in Iran when the Shah was overthrown (it was smuggled out of Iran in a tampon tube ;-) I have blurry memories of that night!

As instructed when I recently acquired my new little friend, I tried breaking off a little piece, crushing that, and sprinkling it over my smoke, but didn't notice anything significantly different (I've been smoking trim, though, and not really enjoying it.... cough!).

I'd like to consume my hash separately, to experience its affects in isolation.
Any suggestions out how I might consume it? I don't have a hookah, but I like edibles.

Does 3 oz of hash count the same as 3 oz of bud when it comes to legal limits?

Things to gather up first before you start:
1) A bobby pin
2) A small piece of thick paper, empty match book cover does the trick
3) An 8 -20 oz. clear glass
4) A lighter
5) Your stash
6) NON-FLAMMABLE SURFACE IS A MUST(SAFETY PURPOSES)

Take a bobby pin and poke it through the center of the match book cover, opposite the striker side and lay it down on a non-flammable surface so the striker is face down AND THE PIN IS HANGING IN OPEN SPACE, NOT OVER THE PLACE THE MATCHES HUNG OUT ,roll a very small ball of your scored nice medicine, put it on the end of the bobby pin, get your lighter and light it on fire, blow it out as it flames the whole ball, put it on the flat surface striker face down, put the glass over it, when the glass fills up with smoke, lift the glass slightly up on one side, put your face and mouth really close to the opening of the glass, suck real hard and hold till you get dizzy feeling, sit down and enjoy the rush... repeat as necessary. YES ON THE LAST QUESTION...

ION, that's the most economical way to use this substance, anything else just wastes your medicine, DO NOT USE A PIPE OR BONG OR ROLLING PAPERS, UNLESS YOU GOT AN ENDLESS SUPPLY, THEN WHO CARES HOW YOU USE IT.... HAPPY MEDICATING FRIEND

Damn good idea!

I have been using the Rick Simpson oil, and so far have used it by getting a gob on a small wire, then melting it over a bowl of bud. I think the pin/glass system would be more efficient.

Back in the 60s I was working in a large printing company as a press helper and of course one of my jobs was to clean under the presses (very large commercial presses) and my bro always had some hash with em but never a pipe. We would unscrew the small brass oil cups with a small piece of pipe still attached, clean it out with good, pop a piece of screen in and some hash and fire it up and toke up while under the press. Glass pipes with a small bowl work well also.

James I had totally spaced on your method, damn that was a long time ago.

Tried it this afternoon with the Rick Simpson oil, but once heat is applied it melts like an oil should...meaning I got it all over the piece of cardboard with the pin in it...unhappy-057.gif

My old method there works best since I don't have an oil pipe. I just grabbed a small bud and wiped it all up..

ISO, get 2 butter knifes, heat them up on the stove(it works better with a torch though) make sure they are reddish in color, put your oil on one knife, then press the 2 knifes together, and up in smoke you go, aaaahhhhh !

It really does the trick if you bust off the bottom of a glass bottle(by dropping the thick end of the knife through the neck), and put the knifes inside the bottle, you get really blasted when sucking on the neck of the bottle, make sure you tilt the bottle so the smoke runs along the inside of the bottle, then you got seconds if you scrape the inside of the bottle, that is really a 2nd blast much better than the priors....

that's what I was thinking, dowl...especially after watching the video (thanks!).....to put it by for a special occasion.. .that little bit of hash consumed in the video sure lasted a long time!..and I have a nice big chunk ...besides, I'd pro'ly have my fill after the first big inhale! ....and it would be a shame to let any go to waste....to not share.

I was considering using it to make something edible for the holiday season...like chocolate ganache or maybe another batch of my cannafudge...perhaps for a holiday munch. I wonder...do I just crush/grind the nugget of hash and add it to the recipe, and follow the same protocol as with trim and bud and not let it get over 180 degrees (vap temp)?
