Default In Memory

I am hurt by this loss like most here. I am not trying to exploit Mike for anything. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

In Loving Memory of Mike Howard R.I.P.

Peace,

~HD

I would really appreciate it if you'd all send the Senator an email and thank her for any help she can provide in helping us get some justice for Mike and prevent this from happening to any other patients. She needs to know that this fear of law enforcement is shared by all of us. We need to know why Pierce County did nothing to find out who viciously attacked and murdered Mike howard...until they've now heard from the press.

Thanks for letting me know about this tragedy. I will follow up on it with Pierce County.

Dear Senator Kohl-Welles,

I just posted this on our patient forum. We'll be giving the story to the news agencies on Monday. I just thought you should know that this is what we face and why patients constantly live in fear. We not only have to fear being robbed, but we have to fear what will happen when law enforcement shows up to "investigate". When my home was invaded recently, at 3:30 am, they wanted to look at my plants and wanted to see a copy of my business license. They conducted no investigation whatsoever. They came back a few days later and I didn't even bother to call police. What happened to Mike Howard to could happen to me, or any other patient in Washington as long as we can't trust the police to do their jobs.

This is beyond disturbing. Please help us in calling for a serious investigation into the murder of Mike Howard, including the criminal conduct of the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.

I did a TV interview with Q13 today and Renee will do the same tomorrow. It almost didn't happen. After the reporter talked to me the first time, her producer contacted the Pierce County Sheriff's office and he was told that Mike wasn't a legal patient. The reporter called me back and I informed her that I had copies of authorizations from TWO doctors for Mike (I was prepared for this). The producer called Pierce County back with that info and this time he was told that Mike was over his 15 plant limit. The reporter called me back and I told her that I could prove that Mike was legally allowed to have more than 15 plants. She called her producer back and he called Pierce County back.

She called me back to say the interview was back on, once again, and that the interview with the Pierce County Sheriff's office had been put off until Monday (till they could finally get their story straight, I assume).

Renee now has legal representation and will not speak to the police without Aaron Pelley present. It's clear that they will try to paint Mike as some kind of criminal drug dealer...but they truly picked the wrong guy. They will likely try to do this to Renee as well. When they raided Mike's house they found an ounce or less of medication, no scales, no baggies...NADA.

We will not allow them to cover their incompetence by smearing Mike or Renee. I suspect we'll see a lot of stories about Mike's murder this week and hopefully one of them will lead to information about who murdered him. I hope that Mike's family will sue Pierce County. This HAS to stop!!!

Default Southern California Patients feel with you.

A friend of mine in Olympia told me about your situation, and I've passed the word on. We've seen this behavoir a number of times, but never with such tragic results. We offer our deepest condolances. Let us know if there is anything we can do to help.

If you haven't already done so, you should contact NORML and Americans for Safe access. They may be able to help.

Be strong, you have our support. We will remember Mike Howard.

Carl

Thanks for your support! I've notified both organizations, but I haven't heard back from either yet...but it's the weekend.

Thanks again Carl...this shouldn't be happening anywhere.

Default Regards

Hello, I am new to this forum, I was actually passed a copy of what's going on via another website through a friend. I just wanted to pay my respects and wish you all the best of luck. I also hope that Renae and Mike's family are able to bring justice to this horrid event.
I am not a cannabis smoker, however I do feel that those who do use it for medicinal purposes should be treated just as any other person and not as a potential criminal. I hope that the Pierce County officers involved in this incident will be prosecuted for this injustice.
I also hope that the person or persons involved in the murder of Mike will be caught and brought to justice.
I will keep you all in my prayers.
- Regards

Default Sarich Himself Has Now Been Shot

After bravely speaking out on behalf of Mike Howard, Steve Sarich himself has now been shot early this morning in a home invasion/attempted medical marijuana robbery.

Steve exchanged gunfire with an intruder. Sarich is expected to be OK; the intruder has life threatening injuries.

Our heavy hearts go out to the families from Pomona California.........
This kind of injustice is now Nation wide and getting worst.......
Its happened to me...
Two more shootings this week alone in my town, with no end in sight. Seems like it never ends. Police here seem overwhelmed or inept at best . Yet they will come and bust you for growing six plants in your back yard in a heart beat... Its happened to me just last summer.. With a Murder solve rate of around 50%.. Its apparent that Police Priorities are are Politically motivated and not to serve the Public they swore to Protect... It everywhere in this Country now..
May God Bless everyone involved and justice finally prevail...
