Steve is a Great person that people should respect and treat right, I have had the pleasure of getting to know this man and his heart is in the right place.
This man is NOT a man of greed and goes out of his way for people! Steve has had really bad luck and is thinking of not being in the movement anymore, and PLEASE people let Steve know YOU are behind him and ask him to stay in the movement for if we lose him, we will have lost a wonderful, kind hearted person that does best by people. I hope some of you will take notice of this post. Adam. http://www.marijuanafactorfiction.org PLEASE note that we are in GREAT need of help ourselfs. I agree with massenberg420, we need to let SteveS know that we support him! A little reassurance goes a long way. I know that Steve's integrity is solid and his moral compass points in the right direction. If it didn't, you would not see my name on this website and I would not have accepted a position on his CannaCare Board of Directors. I have referred to the members of this organization as a family, and I mean it. I have met so many great people, here on the site and at the clinics. We are all together because of one persons vision: Steve Sarich. He has given his own blood for us to have doctors that will sign our recommendations (my Group Health doctors wouldn't) that allow us to live better lives. I hope I see every member post their reply to this thread. Tell SteveS personally how he has helped you. I know that Steve's work is not finished, there are still sick people suffering because they can not get medical marijuana. KMJ.

Well Steve already knows he has my support because I have told him so privately, but if public is what it takes so be it. For years I searched Washington state for relief from the symptoms of 10 years on kidney dialysis. It wasn't until I met Steve that I got the help I needed. Pro Bono or whatever. FREE is what I am trying to say. He never asked for a dime then and still hasn't now. He called me in the hospital when I was very ill and comforted me. This is not the demon of a man that some are trying to portray. Steve I appreciate all you have done for me and the rest of this States ill community. Your spirit of self sacrifice and your strong perseverance in adversity are both inspirational and humbling.
As far as CannaCare's recent bumps, please everyone just stay calm and realx. I am sure that cooler heads will prevail here and everything will be sorted out in the end. We will be better and stronger from the experience. Thanks again everyone for your support. ![]() ~HD

I am in agreement with all of the above. No question that Steve has worked his heart out for the sick folks of this state.
Issue at the moment is one that is internal to Cannabiogen, and I am sure that Steve will very much appreciate knowing he has the support of the membership of the site. Hopefully they can settle the issues in "short-order", and life for Steve can settle down a bit. The internal issues there are private, and need to remain as such, but that in no way means we can't tell Steve that he has our support, and prayers to get this settled. ISO |

I really appreciate the support guys. This is not an easy time, but I'll get through it..."been there, done that" before and I'll pull it out of the hat again. We are still having clinics and we're still protecting patients' legal rights all over the state.
The secret meeting called by the Department of Health is scheduled for Monday! I plan on being there...even though I'm not invited. I hope they arrest me! Sneaky bastards! They are only inviting Joanna McKee from Green Cross, who supported the bill....and representatives from all the law enforcement agencies and the prosecutors! They want to negotiate a lower limit to please the Governor and the cops. Over my dead body! If the Governor wants a new headline, let her have a medical marijuana patient arrested simply for trying to attend what should be an "open meeting" in the state of Washington on medical marijuana. I'll be alerting the press in advance. If they lead me away in handcuffs...I want a photo to post here. ![]() With any luck, Doug Hiatt will be granted a subpoena tomorrow to get the secret DOC policy that is not only unpublished (an absolute violation of RCW 42.56.040), but totally hidden under the guise of "attorney client privilege". If I find that this illegal and secret policy is being protected by the Attorney General, under "attorney client privilege", I will start a recall petition to get him removed from office for malfeasance. I'm sure that will not help his chances for re-election in November. ![]() I am out there trying to protect patients' rights...and yes...I'm still homeless. Hopefully, that won't last much longer. Thank God for wireless broadband internet cards and cell phones! ![]() Best.... Steve |

I have only been around for a few but I can already tell what a nice person Steve truly is. I am one of the patients that got their appointments mixed up in this madness. He has gone above and beyond in my opinion through this whole ordeal. He spent all Sunday sitting outside the Seattle clinic to catch patients Melissa didn't contact telling them their appointment was cancelled. He took his time when I called him and listened to my concerns and was very open about the situation. He has also even gone so far as to help me with a transportation issue to this weekend's make-up appointment.
He does so much and really puts himself on the line. It would really be a shame if we ever lost Steve. I hope he stays. Listening to Steve talk has really motivated me to speak out about the cause. I guess his passion is contagious.

I too am new to this forum. I was quite surprised to receive a note from Melissa advising me of my registration activation here only to learn of her activities days later.
I had called the clinic during that time, and also sent an email requesting information about setting an appointment. I never received a reply to either. In the meantime, I read about the current situation in Steve's post and decided to contact another clinic. I called and they picked up on the first ring. I emailed them with a question and received a reply in minutes. I faxed my medical charts and promptly received a call confirming reciept of the documents and was advised my file is being reviewed. I should be able to get an appointment in the next week or so. While I'm sure that Mr Sarich has the best of intentions, and his past performance has helped many, I am not comfortable with the current set of circumstances he is faced with or the lack of response that I had when I attempted to get help. I post this not to bash Mr Sarich or his organization, but to share my experience with others who might be experiencing what I did. They can draw their own conclusions and make whatever choice they feel is best for them and meets their needs. I hope that Mr Sarich finds a way to unravel this unfortunate set of circumstances and can get back on track so he can get back to helping those in need. |

I've spoken with Dogzilla on the phone this afternoon and I hope I've answered all of his concerns....but he can answer that better than I can.
Best... Steve |

HappyDayz -
Thanks for taking the time to chime in on my previous post. Since then, I've had the opportunity to talk to Mr Sarich by telephone. One thing I'd like to point out right off the bat after talking to Steve is that as others have pointed out, his commitment to helping MM patients regardless of where they got their authorization, is his number one priority. Steve took the time to call me and was able to provide some invaluable insight with regard to the complexities that currently surround having a MM authorization that will stand up against legal challenges. He also expressed his commitment to assisting anyone who encounters difficulty with authorities that I felt to be honest and sincere. The intent of my initial post wasn't to bash anyone, or abandon ship so to speak, but to merely to share my experience. My apologies if I stepped on anyone's toes in doing so, that wasn't my intent and after speaking to Steve, I can respect everyone's feelings for the gentleman. I believe this is a good community of people dedicated to helping one another and I look forward to any opportunities to help "bail" as you so eloquently put it. Best, dogzilla |
