| Nevada Getting your Nevada medical marijuana authorization requires a doctor’s authorization showing that you have a qualifying condition under the Nevada law. It also requires approval by the Nevada Department of Agriculture which is in charge of overseeing the Nevada medical marijuana program. You can proceed with both these processes at the same time. The length of time necessary to complete this process depends completely on the workload at the Department of Agriculture. Department of Agriculture Jennifer Bartlet You’ll need to send them your name, mailing address, phone number and a copy of your proof of residency. You will also need to include a money order or cashier’s check for $50. This charge only covers the initial paperwork. Once you complete the paperwork, you need to return it to them with another money order, or cashier’s check, for another $150. Doctor Information Currently the only doctor that we are aware of in Nevada is located in Las Vegas. If anyone is aware of a physician in the Reno area, please be sure and contact us with his/her information. Dr. Tinnell currently charges $150 for new patients who have medical records documenting their qualifying condition(s). Renewals are currently $100 per year. Dr. James Tinnell
